Not going to lie, I wasn’t going to write a blog post for today. It is really hard to find motivation to do anything creative when all the art supplies are in boxes and said boxes are covering the desk. In other words, there isn’t a whole lot of creativity happening these days.
I was sitting here starting at all the boxes though and it got me thinking about something I saw on Instagram a while back and that is “a few minutes is better than nothing.”
So this is a little kick in the pants for me and maybe a little motivation for some of you out there.
Even when you are busy just take a few minutes, do one swatch of paint across the page, write a couple lines in a journal, edit a picture…or as is my case tonight, write a few paragraphs for the blog. Whatever the case may be you don’t have to pull everything out, make a big mess and spend hours working to feel like you’ve accomplished something.
So obviously this was geared toward art and being creative but whether we are talking about making some art, or cleaning your home or work, just start somewhere, take a couple minutes and just write out a to do list in the very least because a few minutes is better than nothing.
