It’s official, we said goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019. I am not completely sure where 2018 went and I am kind of okay with that. I am ready for a new year!
Normally with a year end post like this I would go back through old blog posts and pictures, but I definitely didn’t do any writing this year and there wasn’t a whole lot of picture taking happening. The only blog post I have to refer back to is my half marathon one.
Running the half marathon was one of my favourite parts of 2018. It is something I had wanted to do for years and I finally got myself signed up for a race. Once you are signed up for a race you kind of have to train…or die…the choice is yours. I am kind of hooked on the half marathon running world now so I plan on running two in 2019 if all goes well (I signed up for the first one this morning so I feel like that is a pretty good start to the new year!). I should probably mention though that I wrote out my training for this next year and when I was finished I decided I will either be in the best shape of my life or in the hospital when it’s over…so stay tuned to see what the outcome of that is.
Since I haven’t shared any photos I have taken this past year I thought I would take this chance to do that so without further ado….
One of the few hikes Melody and I made it out on this past summer was Mt.Baldy. This is one of my favourite hikes near Kamloops though we did get caught in a little storm at the end of this one and pretty near ran the entire way back to the car. It was worth it though.
This random one is from a photoshoot we did together, we both needed to update our photos for our websites and of course we had to finish it off with a photo together.
For September long weekend we made a trip out to the Shuswap for a little camping (or glamping depending on how you look at it). This always ends up being one of my favourite weekends of the summer no matter the weather.
These are a few randoms from hikes at Battle Bluff, Kenna Cartwright and the Dallas/Barhartvale Nature Park. Just a few of my favourite places.

So that is it from 2018, looking back through the photos showed me how little I picked up my camera compared to other years. So for 2019 hopefully there will be more picture taking and more writing.
