Brea Reese Watercolour Creams

Brea Reese Watercolor Creams

I was wandering through the art aisle in Walmart the other day and came across the Brea Reese watercolour creams. They are so bright and fun looking that they immediately caught my eye. I couldn’t resist.

It has been a really long time since I have bought an art product for no reason other than wanting to test it out. It has also been a really long time since I have used watercolours.

I have used liquid watercolours and the tubes of watercolours but these watercolour creams are new to me (how many times can I say watercolour in one sentence). The first thing that drew me to them was the colours. I love really bright and vibrant colours when I am painting and these watercolour creams were literally the brightest thing on the shelf.

These watercolour creams can be used on their own for drawing, as paint, or a combination of the two. I absolutely love them for drawing. The colour is bright and they feel really cool to draw with since they are a gel like texture. I was a little disappointed with how they turned out when you add water. They end up being really light and almost loose all their colour.

So while I probably won’t be painting an entire image with just the Brea Reese watercolour creams they are perfect for outlining and for drawing. They are also ideal for those days when you want to have a little fun but don’t want to use up your more expensive paints.

If you want to test out the Brea Reese watercolour creams you can find them on Amazon here.
