As I mentioned in my last visual journal prompts post I absolutely love the idea of a visual journal. They are a space to create when you have no creativity left. There is no right or wrong, it doesn’t matter how good the art is you create, all that matters is creating something.
The idea of the prompts is to give you a starting point; you can take them however you want. Take them literally or figuratively, or maybe a mixture of both if that is possible. Take a photo, draw, write or anything in between to get the idea down on paper.
I also think it is good to try something different, challenge yourself in a way. If you paint take a photo to express the idea, if you write try to draw something.
Visual journals are a great place to test out ideas…I mean you can just rip the page out if you decide it looks terrible (though I do recommend keeping all the pages for the fun of it). Basically it’s a space to let your creativity flow, or give it a little jolt when you feel like you are running low.
So I posted 15 visual journal prompts before so I thought I would share 15 more ideas with you…

Like I already said, you can take these prompts however you want. For example I a self-portrait…I can’t draw so I won’t be trying to draw my face, I could take a photo for a “literally” self-portrait or take it more figuratively and do a collage of this that represent me as a person. Really whatever strikes your fancy is what you can do because there is no right or wrong way to go about a visual journal.
