DIY Clay Gift Tags

DIY Clay Gift Tags - The Monday Creative

I am sure I have mentioned it before but wrapping presents is one of my favourite things to do. I like finding unique ways to decorate the paper or add a little extra touch to the gift. That leads me to todays DIY….clay gift tags.

Now when you hear the words clay you might immediately think this is going to be too much work just for some fancy wrapping but trust me, they don’t take long at all and bonus is they look super cute!

Supplies

  • Polymer Clay
  • Alphabet Stamps
  • Rolling Pin
  • Cookie Cutter

1.Roll out the clay keeping in mind the thicker the clay is the longer you will have to bake it. I kept mine pretty thin but not so thin they bend.

2.Stamp out your words! Remember not to push too hard or you will have the outline of the stamp as well as the letter.

3.Cut out the shapes. I used a lid because I didn’t have a small enough circular cookie cutter but use what ever you have handy that will cut.

4.Cut out a hole for the string (I used a straw) and throw them on a baking sheet.

5.Bake! I baked mine for 20 minutes at 275 degrees but check the package your clay came in to see what it says.

One thing to note is that the clay shows EVERYTHING. I am talking every speck of dust, every fingerprint, literally everything. Just a little something to keep in mind while you are creating your gift tags.

That’s it that’s all, simple, quick and oh so cute!
